Board of the University

The Board of the University (BvU) is the highest administrative body within the Maya University and is in charge of the overall management of the university, both its whole and its parts.

The BvU consists of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9 members, 3 of which are chosen by the members of the university community and a maximum of 6 are appointed. The Executive Board of the University (DB) is in the hands of the chairman, together with the secretary of the BvU. The chairman of the BvU represents the university in and out of court.

Office of the University

The Office of the University assists the Board of the University in the implementation of the operational and logistic activities, and ensures an optimal infrastructure for education, research and services.

The Office is divided into three areas (Administrative Affairs and Educational Facilities, Operational Affairs, Advancement) supported by departments specializing in the activities within the respective areas of work. At the head of each work area is a director who, together with his fellow directors, is the Executive Board of the Office.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

The Directorate for  Administrative Affairs and Education Services is headed by the Interim General Manager, Eric Jagdew, who, together with the departments covered by this directorate, ensures optimal administrative handling and accountability of the daily operations and educational facilities.

The departments in the Directorate of Administrative Affairs and Education Facilities are:

• Financial matters
• Human Resources
• Project Monitoring Unit
• Student affairs

 

ADVANCEMENT

The Advance Directorate  is headed by the Interim Director Advancement, Mr. Jerry Teixeira, who, together with the departments covered by this Directorate, ensures optimal development and accountability of day-to-day operations.

The departments that are part of the Advance Directorate are:

• Fundraising and External Relations
• Marketing and communication
• Mexico Statistical Training Center
• University Center for Information Technology

 

OPERATIONAL BUSINESS

The Directorate  Operational Affairs is headed by the Interim Director Operations, Mr Paul Pierpont, who, together with the departments covered by this directorate, ensures optimum operational handling of day-to-day operations.

The departments in the Operational Affairs Directorate are:

• Archive and Digital Information Processing
• Facility Management
• Security
• Sports and Events Bureau
